With sincere apologies for further unforeseen delays, we belatedly present the eighth in the series of working papers published by LOGOS, the Student Linguistics Society at the University of Calgary. These papers represent the current research in progress of students and Faculty members and as such should not be considered in any way final or definitive. Appearance of papers in this volume does not preclude their publication in another form elsewhere.

The University of Calgary is situated on land Northwest of where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, a site traditionally known as Moh’kins’tsis to the Blackfoot, Wîchîspa to the Stoney Nakoda, and Guts’ists’i to the Tsuut’ina. On this land and in this place we strive to learn together, walk together, and grow together “in a good way.”
