Abstract

After a brief overview of the author's ongoing concerns with a troubling use of the terms "fearlessness" and "fearless" in educational discourse (and beyond), this paper focuses on the very specific offering of some basic criteria for improving use, avoiding unnecessary violent reductionism, and expanding awareness, theory and praxis toward a truly emancipatory potential.
