Backward design for the development of three new academic credentials: The Precision Health program

Abstract

Poster presentation delivered at the 2021 Health and Medical Education Scholarship Symposium. The presentation highlights the methodology employed in the design of the Precision Health Program consisting of a Certificate in Precision Health, a Graduate Diploma in Precision Health, and a Master of Precision Health. The program offers innovative, student-centered curriculum delivered in flexible formats that use technology strategically. It offers specializations in Precision Medicine, Quality and Safety Leadership, Health Professional Education Leadership, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. The 1-year stand-alone credentials can be used for professional development or stacked for credit toward the master's degree.
