iGEM project students as creators, drivers, innovators, and collaborators towards authentic learning experiences

Abstract

The iGEM (international Genetically Engineered Machines) program puts students in charge of their own research project and thereby achieve authentic learning. Session participants will explore the learning experiences of these students, evaluate those experiences, and reflect on how to create an authentic learning environment in their own practice.
