Abstract

As founder of the In Search of Fearlessness Research Institute, Dr. Fisher outlines why theory (and meta-theory) is important in fear studies. He lists several of what he considers his most important discoveries in this field in 30 years. He then focuses on discussing the Meta-Motivation Theory he has created in the last 5 years where Fear is located in relationship to Love and Freedom and Fearlessness as an evolutionary and developmental trajectory that has universal applications to explaining human existence. He concludes by applying his meta-motivation theory to a paper discussion on India and the three-layered fears of girls.
