Issues and Problems in Educational Surveillance

Abstract

In this presentation, we provide insights into our research on equity, diversity, and inclusion as they relate to academic integrity. We focus specifically on surveillance technologies such as e-proctoring (also known as remote proctoring) and the algorithms behind these technologies that disadvantage Black students and other person of colour. We highlight preliminary results from our rapid review project on this topic.
