This paper explores the notion of resilience at a community level, and is based on data collected as part of an ongoing research project. Specifically, the viability of community resilience as a concept is examined, including visible signs for its manifestation. The context is the diverse Asian community in the Auckland suburb of Glen Innes, which has grown since the late 1990s. We examine how this Asian community in Glen Innes demonstrates resilience and how preliminary data may bolster our general understanding of community resilience. Possible future directions for research and initiatives are also discussed.eng
