Abstract

The authors were requested to review all options concerning a new casino and/or consolidation of the Crystal Casino with the McPhillips Street Station and Club Regent operations. Their analysis of the market included the following: Review of the Manitoba market and composition of gaming revenue in Manitoba, and trends in the province; Review of per capita expenditure on gaming in Manitoba and comparison to different parts of Canada and the United States, and review of trends in certain of these markets, and; Review of performance of the Manitoba casinos in relation to other locations in North America.
