Abstract
Within this document nine of my original works as well as nine art pieces/ historical objects of significance are mentioned and discussed at length. The final exhibition is a culmination, display and celebration of self-actualized activated engagement of both the ethnographic and contemporary Manly- Hearted Woman. Three Sister’s master thesis investigates the three-circle diagram of Dr. Reg Crowshoe drafted for the Alberta Energy Regulator Framework for Ethical Space to be applied to the real world and within any physical space. Through exploration of traditional Blackfoot Territory and knowledge of ceremonial and historical garments of indigenous clothing, their value in garment reconstruction and contemporary indigenous fashion is realized. Traditional indigenous teachings blend into ethical conduct, sanctified kindness, ceremonial smudge, all manifesting in the physical space of a circle. Contemporary Indigenous clothing as spiritual armament, and tools for teaching.
