Establishment of Telehealth Centers in Selected Hospitals in Zambia

Abstract

Space-Based Technology Applications to eHealth: In 2003 the Ministry of Health through the Permanent Secretary formed the Tele-health Steering Committee in Zambia. The mandate of the committee is to spearhead the establishment of National Tele-health and integrate it into national policy of the Ministry of Health to add value to the provision of health care services to Zambians in the most efficient and effective way possible. The other objective is to access potentially huge library training for hospitals and higher learning institutions.
