Abstract

The article presents information on Caracal Energy Inc., formerly Griffiths Energy International Inc., an international oil exploration and development company, which is facing the corruption charges in Canada. It informs that there is no maximum fine set out in the Canadian federal anti-corruption legislation. It further informs that at the time of the illegal bribes the company received legal advice from a law firm in New York.
