dc.description.abstractThroughout the summer research term the project was split into two synthesis-based projects. One focused on the synthesis of diazapyrine core anion detectors and the other focused on the synthesis of ortho- and para-substituted methyl-benzimidazole cyanine dyes. This report is purely synthesis-based, however, this research lays a foundation support for further synthesis and characterization studies for future.en_US
